Mary Ann Cloyd

Ms. Cloyd brings nearly 40 years of experience in public accounting and advisory, corporate governance, and risk management and oversight. She currently serves on the Boards of Bellerophon Therapeutics, Fresh Del Monte Produce, and NCMIC Group. Active in professional and community organizations, Ms. Cloyd is also on the Board of the Geffen Playhouse and the Advisory Board of the UCLA Iris Cantor Women’s Center. From 1990 until her retirement in 2015, Ms. Cloyd was a senior partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (“PwC”), where she served multinational corporate clients in a variety of industries, including the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. She was the leader of the PwC Center for Board Governance from 2012 to 2015 and has also served on both PwC’s Global and U.S. Boards. Ms. Cloyd also served on the Board of Trustees of the PwC Charitable Foundation, and previously served as President of the Foundation.

Corinna E. Lathan, Ph.D.

Dr. Lathan has over twenty years of experience as a leader and technology innovator with deep expertise in human-technology interfaces for robotics and mobile technology platforms. She co-founded AnthroTronix, a biomedical engineering research and development company that creates diverse products in robotics, digital health, wearable technology, and augmented reality, and has led it as Board Chair and Chief Executive Officer for over 20 years. She currently serves on the board of PTC, Inc., a global technology provider of Internet of Things and Augmented Reality platforms, and is a member of its Audit and Cybersecurity Committees. In addition, Dr. Lathan previously served as Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at The Catholic University of America and as Adjunct Professor of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Dr. Li has been a senior analyst at Puissance Capital Management since 2015 and has been involved in many of Puissance Capital's investments. Prior to joining Puissance Capital, Dr. Li worked at Fosun Capital and Harvest Fund. Dr. Li received his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Harvard University, and a B.S. and B.A. from X'an Jiaotong University in Xi'an, China.

Charles Li, Ph.D.

Dr. Li has been a senior analyst at Puissance Capital Management since 2015 and has been involved in many of Puissance Capital's investments. Prior to joining Puissance Capital, Dr. Li worked at Fosun Capital and Harvest Fund. Dr. Li received his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Harvard University, and a B.S. and B.A. from X'an Jiaotong University in Xi'an, China.

Ms. Lafer Scher brings extensive experience driving growth and building healthcare organizations at scale in both the public and private sector. She most recently served as the Executive Advisor to four Cabinet Secretaries at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs across two Presidential administrations, leading the VA Secretary’s Center for Strategic Partnerships. Her team built a public/private sector partnership community of 50+ organizations and implemented $250+ million in new co-developed programs serving Veterans across the country. She currently serves as Senior Advisor at the Milken Institute, a healthcare and economic think tank, as an Independent Director on the Board at EnableComp, and as a Director at 2Serve Together. Ms. Scher has also held leadership positions at Weill Cornell Medical Center, Dun & Bradstreet, CareOne, Walsh International, and Warburg Pincus. Ms. Scher holds a Bachelor of Arts from Haverford College and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University.
